Camp Oljato

A red sunset paints the lake red. Underneath, a Scout draws a bow; a Scout climbs a cliff; a Scout pounds leather; and Scouts in kayaks raise their arms in victory.

Camp Oljato is a premier Scout summer camp in the High Sierra. Pacific Skyline Council's summer camp program runs from mid June through early August, serves all scouts, and immerses Scouts in the outdoor adventure of Scouting. Oljato's goal is to have every scout attend camp.

A barge arrives with passengers. A barge crosses the lake in fog. The name Oljato (ol-JAY-toe) is from Navajo meaning "Starlight on the Waters." Your adventure starts with a one-mile boat trip across picturesque Huntington Lake, which is a key aspect of Camp Oljato. Nearly all Scouts participate in several waterfront activities.
